چکیده

Energy preserving/decaying schemes are presented for the simulation of the nonlinear multibody systems involving shell components. The proposed schemes are designed to meet four specific requirements: unconditional nonlinear stability of the scheme, a rigorous treatment of both geometric and material nonlinearities, exact satisfaction of the constraints, and the presence of high frequency numerical dissipation. The kinematic nonlinearities associated with arl)itrarily large displacements and rotations of shells are treated in a rigorous manner, and the material nonlinearities can be handled when the constitutive laws stem fl'om the existence of a strain ener_" density function. The efficiency and robustness of the proposed approach is illustrated with specific numerical examples that also demonstrate the need for integration schemes possessing high frequency numerical dissipation. Key words, multil)ody dynamics, geometrically exact shell, time integration, energy decaying scheme Subject classification. Applied and Numerical Mathematics

A real-time recursive dynamic model for vehicle driving simulators

This paper presents the Real-Time Recursive Dynamics (RTRD) model that is developed for driving simulators. The model could be implemented in the Driving Simulator. The RTRD can also be used for off-line high-speed dynamics analysis, compared with commercial multibody dynamics codes, to speed up mechanical design process. An overview of RTRD is presented in the paper. Basic models for specific ...

Multibody Analysis of a Micro-aerial Vehicle Flapping Wing

Abstract. This paper discusses the use of multibody dynamics, augmented by the direct implementation of nonlinear finite element beams and significantly shells, to perform the coupled structural and fluid-dynamics analysis of flapping wing Micro-Aerial Vehicles. The implementation of the shell formulation in a free general-purpose multibody solver is described and validated. The solver, coupled...

A Uniform Framework for Dae Integrators in Flexible Multibody Dy- Namics

The present talks deals with a uniform approach to the discretization in time of rigid body dynamics, nonlinear structural mechanics and flexible multibody systems. In particular, it is shown that a uniform set of differential-algebraic equations (DAEs) with constant mass matrix governs the motion of rigid bodies and semi-discrete formulations of structural components (such as geometrically exa...

Multibody Dynamics Modeling and Analysis of Bearing Loads in a Transmission System

This paper presents the multibody dynamics modeling and simulation results of bearing loads in a transmission system used in a wind turbine. First, a theoretical study is briefly reviewed that allows developing an analytical model for the analysis. The model is then studied using MD ADAMS software dedicated to the study of multibody dynamics and motion analysis of moving parts. The aim of the s...
